Tuskegee Airmen Exhibit Wins GAMG Award
The Museum of Aviation’s exhibit Tuskegee Airmen: A Proud Heritage won the Georgia Association of Museums and Galleries (GAMG) Museum Exhibition of the Year Award in Category 2 (under $100,000). The award was presented January 20 at the GAMG Conference in Milledgeville, Georgia -- coincidentally the same day that the Red Tails Tuskegee Airmen movie premiered in theaters nationwide. Vietnam War's Top "ACE" Visits the Museum of Aviation
Retired Colonel Charles Debellevue, the highest scoring “ace” of the Vietnam war toured the Museum of Aviation January 20. Debellevue was one of only five fighter pilots in Vietnam that were credited with more than five aerial victories to become “aces.” Read more, CLICK HERE
Museum of Aviation Announces Free iPhone App
The Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins Georgia announces the release of its first iPhone app, available immediately for free in the Apple App Store. The app enables users to listen to audio information for 20 of the museum's more than 90 aircraft exhibits, and to explore additional information using Wikipedia and Youtube links.

The Tuskegee Teacher's Guide
The Tuskegee Teacher’s Guide, developed by the Museum of Aviation’s Education Department, features a brief history of the Tuskegee Airmen of World War II, a tour of the exhibit, and a glossary, discussion questions, printable coloring and activity pages. Students and their teachers will discuss and define what it means to have an impact on society, discuss and demonstrate how the Tuskegee Airmen overcame discrimination and made an impact on society, and research African Americans in the U.S. Military. General Scott Film to be Shown During The Macon Film Festival
A new short film on Macon's hometown World War II hero - Brig. Gen. Robert L. Scott Jr. - will be one of the selections at the 2012 Macon Film Festival, to be held February 16-19. The film entitled "WWII Flying Ace: Robert L. Scott" will be shown at two locations:
Saturday, February 18, at the Cox Capitol Theatre, 382 2nd Street, 2:30-3:30 pm block
Sunday, February 19, at the 567 Center for Renewal, 533 Cherry Street, 3:00-5:00 pm block

Museum of Aviation Host Young Astronauts' Day
The Museum of Aviation Education Department will host the Annual Georgia Young Astronauts’ Day (YAD) on Saturday, May 12 from 9:00 am-2:00 pm. This yearly event for 1st-8th grade students. Pre-registration is required, and participants may register as a group or individually. Early registration is strongly encouraged, as workshops fill very fast.
