GENERAL SCOTT MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

A total of 224 golfers and 125 businesses and individuals stepped up to honor the memory of General Robert L. Scott Jr. at the 5 th Annual Memorial Golf Tournament at Healy Point Country Club April 16, 2010. The event was blessed with perfect weather, a green manicured course and great food offerings from Healy Point.
“I’m so proud of Macon and the Middle Georgia community for its support of the 5th Annual Robert L. Scott, Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament held April 16 at Healy Point Country Club in Macon,” said Tournament Chairman Carolyn Crayton. “It was a wonderful event to honor and remember a man we all miss so much -- Macon’s native son and great American Brig. Gen. Robert L. Scott, Jr – and to support our wonderful Museum of Aviation.”
“This was no small effort in these tough economic times,” said Carolyn, “and I salute everyone who went the extra mile. On behalf of my great co-chairmen, the entire committee and the hardworking staff at the Museum of Aviation Foundation, I thank everyone who made this year’s tournament a success. I salute you all!”
